Job Overview

A highly skilled Oracle Exadata Database Administrator is required to join our organization. This role will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical Oracle RDBMS systems, including Exadata and OCI.

This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, cloud migration experience, and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and sustaining multiple clients across various Oracle versions and platforms, ensuring operational readiness (security, health, and performance) for both on-premises and cloud-based Oracle environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with assigned client base.
  • Develop and implement customer administration and maintenance plans.
  • Ensure continuous communications in a consultative approach.
  • Administer and optimize Oracle Exadata systems (compute nodes, storage cells, InfiniBand).
  • Manage Oracle databases on OCI, including provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery.
  • Lead and support end-to-end cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to OCI.
  • Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions (RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate).
  • Monitor and tune performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL tuning tools.
  • Automate database operations using scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible).
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and application teams to support hybrid and cloud-native deployments.
  • Ensure database security, compliance, and audit readiness across Exadata and OCI environments.
  • Participate in capacity planning, cloud migration strategies, and architecture reviews.
  • Provide on-call support and participate in scheduled maintenance windows.
  • Consult on additional opportunities.
  • Review operational metrics.
  • Build a knowledge base, document, and develop standard operation procedures for each customer's Oracle database architecture.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional related responsibilities as requested.
