Legal Strategist Job Description

As a Legal Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the legal strategy of our organization. Your mandate will span investment documentation, fund structuring, entity formation, and litigation oversight. You will be responsible for designing scalable systems and leading a high-performing legal team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute comprehensive legal strategies to drive business growth and minimize risk.
  2. Lead all legal documentation and execution for investment transactions, fund raises, and internal structuring, including contracts and agreements.
  3. Ensure each transaction progresses with rigor, velocity, and risk clarity, balancing legal integrity with commercial intent.
  4. Design and advise on structuring for new funds, special purpose vehicles, and cross-border investments, ensuring regulatory compliance and long-term scalability.
  5. Liaise with advisors, regulatory authorities, and internal teams on fund registration, governance documentation, and legal architecture.
  6. Provide expert counsel on limited partner frameworks, capital deployment terms, and jurisdictional considerations.
  7. Manage ongoing and potential disputes in collaboration with external counsel, aligning strategy with business priorities.
  8. Oversee intellectual property portfolio management, including filings, registrations, and enforcement actions.
  9. Provide legal counsel for board governance, shareholder meetings, resolution tracking, and statutory compliance.
  10. Build and lead a legal team that spans contract negotiation, structuring, compliance, and internal advisory services.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate law, transactions, entity structuring, and fund formation, with prior exposure to venture capital, private equity, or family office ecosystems preferred. They must possess exceptional command of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory nuance, as well as demonstrated ability to lead high-context negotiations and execute complex workstreams at speed and scale.
