Healthcare EDI Tester Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to work with EDI transactions and make a difference in the world of healthcare.

The role involves validating healthcare EDI transactions, such as 834, 837, 847, and 27X series. You will collaborate with colleagues worldwide to create solutions for leading companies, making them more flexible, innovative, and successful.

As an EDI Tester, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing functional and regression testing of EDI transactions (834, 837P/I/D, 847, 27X).
  • Validating inbound and outbound EDI files using tools like AE2, EDIFACTS, and Facets.
  • Analyzing requirement documents and creating test scenarios, test cases, and mock data.
  • Executing batch jobs and validating data flow across systems.
  • Logging defects in ALM/JIRA and coordinating with development teams for resolution.
  • Maintaining traceability matrices and test evidence repositories.
  • Collaborating with offshore teams and clients for delivery and defect triage.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of hands-on testing experience in QEA Testing and preferably from the healthcare domain.
  • Deep understanding of US healthcare concepts (claims, enrollment, providers, billing).
  • EDI Transactions (834, 837)
  • Experience with Facets claims processing and BlueCards.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with MS SQL Server and Azure AD.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project delivery.
