We are seeking a motivated candidate to join our team as a Java FIX QA Automation Engineer. This role will play a key part in the development of multiple platforms for various financial products, ensuring that software systems meet functional and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test new system software versions using automated testing tools.
  • Create, maintain, and update test cases and regression scripts based on business requirements.
  • Report and manage software issues and test activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Attend project meetings to discuss issues and report on the status of testing.
  • Follow quality assurance standards and policies.
  • Provide estimates to help management produce an accurate schedule.
  • Support the product management group to test various business scenarios and verify functionality to be implemented.
  • Maintenance of application versions and facilitation of version upgrades in all environments.

  • Experience in a fast-paced financial market data environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • High motivation level and attention to detail.
  • Able to complete projects on time with minimal supervision.
  • Willingsness and ability to learn new technologies and tools.
  • Fixed income and/or derivatives market knowledge.

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with VeriFix.
  • Extensive FIX Protocol knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with bug tracking software (e.g. Jira) and Test Case Management Tools.
  • Design, code, and document automated test cases within a defined framework to assure the quality of a functional domain.
  • Able to create new test cases based on requirements documents and guidance from the product and development teams.
  • Translate existing manual regression test cases into automated VeriFix tests.
  • Experience with HP-UFT is a plus.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in science and/or engineering.
  • 3+ years of general Quality Assurance experience with multi-tiered complex trading and/or risk management systems in the financial industry.
  • 2+ years of experience working with VeriFix and the FIX Protocol.
