VMware Administrator Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled VMware administrator to support the development and maintenance of our virtualized infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting. Additionally, they will possess expertise in cloud technology solutions, such as AWS and Azure, and be able to implement and maintain these systems to meet business needs.

In this role, you will be responsible for administering and managing VMware environments, implementing cloud technology solutions, utilizing version control systems, configuring infrastructure as code, providing operating system administration, developing automation scripts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring identity and access management, disaster recovery, networking fundamentals, and cloud security best practices.

  • Administer and manage VMware vSphere environments, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain cloud technology solutions, including AWS and Azure, to support business needs.
  • Utilize version control systems, such as Git, to manage code repositories and collaborate with team members.
  • Configure and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Crossplane.
  • Provide Windows and Linux operating system administration, ensuring seamless integration with virtualized environments.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts using Ansible, PowerShell, Azure, and AWS API integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement containerization orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Design and implement CICD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI.
  • Ensure identity and access management through AWS IAM and Azure AD.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery backup solutions using Commvault.
  • Ensure networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and load balancers, are implemented correctly.
  • Develop and implement automation configuration management using Ansible.
  • Ensure cloud security best practices, including data encryption, security groups, and key management, are followed.
  • Optimize performance and capacity planning through monitoring and analysis.
