We are seeking a seasoned Chemical Procurement Manager to lead our procurement function in the chemical industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that ensure cost-efficiency, quality, and uninterrupted production. They will also monitor global and domestic chemical markets to anticipate pricing trends and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing & Category Management: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend categories, including raw materials, solvents, catalysts, packaging, and engineering supplies.
  • Vendor & Contract Management: Identify, assess, and develop suppliers (domestic and international). Lead negotiations and manage long-term agreements, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
  • Cost Optimization & Budgeting: Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, vendor consolidation, and process improvements. Prepare and monitor procurement budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets.
  • Inventory & Supply Assurance: Collaborate with production and planning teams to maintain optimum stock levels while minimizing working capital. Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production disruptions.
  • Team Leadership & Process Improvement: Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team. Drive digitalization and automation of procurement processes using ERP systems.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal and company compliance standards. Identify risks in the supply chain and implement contingency plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within the chemical/process/manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with global sourcing, customs regulations, and import/export documentation.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
