Strategic Projects and Portfolio Manager Role

We seek a highly skilled Strategic Projects and Portfolio Manager to oversee the development of our Ocean Procurement portfolio in the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East, and Africa region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing terminal roadmaps and strategic portfolios for Maersk's Ocean business in the IMEA region.
  • Collaborating with APMT CDV teams to implement projects that optimize group Ocean Reliability and synergistic value.
  • Managing joint projects with APMT, ensuring compliance with procurement priorities and contract management.
  • Developing regional playbooks for the portfolio, defining roles and responsibilities, and coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Conducting assessments for new investments and divestments, providing information and analysis on terminal competitiveness and network demands.
  • Maximizing the value of Maersk's Ocean beyond terminals, identifying opportunities for Logistics and Services developments.
  • Assisting the Head of IMEA Ocean Procurement in strategic negotiations and stakeholder engagement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics or finance with honors.
  • Strong project management skills and experience.
  • Excellent internal and external stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Customer and process improvement mindset.
  • Ambassador of company values and leadership behaviors.
  • High learning agility and ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Strong negotiation skills, preferably in the Marine/terminals domain.
  • Understanding of Terminal performance management.
