Battery Management System (BMS) Hardware Architect

You will be responsible for designing and developing a state-of-the-art BMS hardware system for energy storage applications. This includes creating architectural designs, layouts, and ensuring compliance with EMI-EMC standards. As a key member of our team, you will own the responsibility of delivering high-quality modules/systems on-time, working closely with cross-functional teams to provide solutions to complex use cases.

Qualifications:

  • BE/BTech/MTech in Electrical Engineering (EEE)
  • Years of experience in developing BMS systems for energy storage applications

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience developing BMS for energy storage/ESS
  • Rich hands-on experience in architecting Power Electronics concepts for BMS
  • Strong design knowledge of Digital circuit design, Analog circuit design, ADC, DACs, OP Amps, Micro-processors, Micro-controllers & DSPs
  • Knowledge of Regulatory requirements for Li-ion batteries for Energy storage application such as UL9540/UL1973/IEC62619/IEC 60730
  • Knowledge of PCB layout constraints
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with Analog Front End circuit design for Li-ion batteries
  • Experience with FMEA and Root Cause Analysis
  • Experience working with various Sensing Technologies (ex: Temp Sensor, Voltage sensor, etc.)
  • Experience working with hardware peripherals and communication ckt design .
  • Experience in Power Supply Design
  • Experience working with MOSFET driving

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Safety Regulatory standards like IEC61508, ISO26262 when building HW designs
  • Contactors and Relays
  • Working knowledge of safety-critical features like charge control, thermal control, fault detection, and diagnostics for battery and energy products
