Battery Systems Professional Role

Key aspects of your role as a Battery Systems Professional include working within an international team developing DC or AC distribution solutions for Industrial and Maritime Power Networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient battery systems tailored to marine, offshore platforms, and industrial plants.
  • Evaluate battery systems to ensure compliance with maritime and industrial environment safety standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical support to customers and internal teams on battery system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in product selection based on market research and innovative battery technologies.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in cell technology, optimized design, and development of battery packs, battery technology, energy storage systems, or power systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrochemistry, power electronics, and energy management systems.
  • Relevant certifications in battery technology, maritime safety, or energy systems may be beneficial.
Required Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
  • Experience with simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS, or COMSOL Multiphysics.
  • Familiarity with Battery Management System software and data acquisition tools.
  • Knowledge of testing equipment such as cyclers, impedance analyzers, and environmental chambers.
  • Programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB, and data analysis software like Excel, R, or Tableau.
