Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our railway segment initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in new product development (NPD) for the railway and metro sectors, including stations and infrastructure.

  • Visit customers to understand their requirements and specifications and translate them into innovative product designs.
  • Analyze competitor products and conduct reverse engineering for benchmarking and innovation purposes.
  • Develop new designs across various product categories and oversee their end-to-end development.
  • Introduce improvements and innovations in existing product lines.
  • Perform prototyping, prepare PFMEA/FMEA, and deliver technical presentations to customers.
  • Estimate and prepare costing for new products.

The successful candidate will possess hands-on experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Annex, as well as strong knowledge of materials such as stainless steel, mild steel, alloy steels, and plastics.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Annex.
  • Strong knowledge of materials including stainless steel, mild steel, alloy steels, and plastics.
  • Practical experience in sheet metal forming, fabrication, welding, and surface treatments.
  • Knowledge of IS and EN standards relevant to the railway and metro industry.
  • Technical expertise in various sheet metal processes and cost drivers.
  • Experience working with stainless steel components.
  • Installation knowledge will be considered an added advantage.
Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering from a reputable institution.
  • PREFERRED FROM IIT OR TIER-1 INSTITUTIONS
