Plant and Machinery Operations Role

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of plant and machinery operations, enabling them to make informed decisions as a central figure in the operational process.

This role involves working with multiple teams, overseeing personnel, and controlling spare parts inventory while optimizing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Erect, dismantle, maintain, and operate tower cranes, passenger hoists, placer booms, etc.
  • Develop methodology for equipment erection, operation, and preparation of checklists.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and cost optimization, sourcing skilled operators and mechanics.
  • Generate MIS reports for Mechanical Heads at HQ/Project In-charge.
  • Maintain site records of equipment, including log books, preventive maintenance records, and upkeep of equipment at zonal sites.
  • Create budget estimates for spares and running expenses for each machine, monitoring them monthly.
  • Train personnel on safe equipment usage, record-keeping, and repairs/servicing procedures.
  • Ensure optimal use of plant and machinery corresponding to their rated productivity output.
  • Achieve minimum equipment breakdowns and maximum availability at site.
  • Establish service schedules based on hours/Kms running, implementing those strictly to minimize equipment downtime.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) skills
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Minimum 10 years of experience
