DM Plant Chemist

The Water Treatment DM Plant is a critical component of the Biomass Power Plant, responsible for producing high-quality demineralised (DM) water.

This key role oversees the entire DM water treatment process, ensuring optimal performance and maintenance of equipment, dosing systems, pumps, and control panels. The ideal candidate will have expertise in DM water production and boiler feedwater treatment.

• Operational Excellence: Supervise and operate the DM plant to maintain consistent and reliable supply of DM water with required quality parameters.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Conduct regular chemical analysis and troubleshoot process issues like conductivity spikes, regeneration failures, or membrane fouling.
• Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain daily logs, chemical usage records, test reports, and regeneration schedules.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with CPCB/SPCB norms through internal audits, environmental monitoring, and reporting.

• Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or Environmental Science.
• Experience: 5–10 years in DM plant operations in thermal or biomass power plants, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/in-charge role.
• Skills: Strong understanding of steam-water cycle chemistry, laboratory instruments, and boiler chemistry guidelines.

• Leadership: Proven leadership and root cause analysis skills.
