Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented mechanical design engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical systems and equipment.

Your primary duties will include collaborating with customers and marketing teams to determine design requirements, planning and executing the design of precision mechanical equipment, and working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure that design specifications are met.

You will have the opportunity to solve problems in engineering design and participate in industry development.

To succeed in this role, you should possess detailed knowledge of engineering and design principles and be able to find creative solutions to technical problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet with vendors and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers to determine project requirements.
  • Conduct research to inform the design and engineering methods required for the mechanical systems.
  • Plan and execute mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs.
  • Perform computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs.
  • Oversee the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing.
  • Document the design process, iterations, and test analytics.
  • Liaise with designers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure coherence.
  • Prepare technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a mechanical design engineer.
  • Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Rhino.
  • Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Attentive to detail and critically minded.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Candidate with past experience in design engineering of meter mix machines, dispensing equipment, pumps, and hand tools.
