Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage margin calls and optimize short-term liquidity of funds by gaining a thorough understanding of the portfolio, its financing structure, and dynamics.
  • Understand various margining methodologies across different agreements in a portfolio and track the internal view of margin.
  • Oversee end-to-end implementation of margin/financing, broker revenue, and counterparty exposure information.
  • Handle new client onboarding, gathering requirements, and showcasing capabilities effectively.
  • Proactively manage stakeholders' expectations, articulate the scope of offerings, escalate issues timely, and demonstrate persuasiveness in driving change.
  • Continuously learn and enhance knowledge on the complete Client platform/industry, extending beyond current areas of expertise.
  • Perform activities like data gathering, GAP analysis, mapping, data transformation, loading, and reconciliation as part of client implementation.
  • Collaborate with technology teams on special projects, develop bespoke reports, specifications, product implementation, and UAT.
  • Ensure optimal treasury and cash management operations, maintaining optimal liquidity and funding strategies.
  • Effectively manage collateral and liquidity positions to support trading and risk management activities.
  • Timely and accurately monitor and respond to margin calls.
  • Support and coordinate securities lending transactions to maximize asset utilization.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in treasury, coupled with in-depth finance knowledge.
  • Expertise in collateral management, financing agreements, and margin methodologies.
  • Experience in securities lending and borrowing, as well as optimizing portfolio financing.
  • Understanding of data sources like Reuters, Bloomberg, Markit for treasury-related attributes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
  • Knowledge of margin calls and security lending.
  • Understanding of treasury/cash management and collateral/liquidity management.
  • Proven track record of handling projects and improving processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative attitude.
  • Effective oral/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and take on additional operational tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel.
  • Hands-on experience with VBA macros/Python is a significant advantage.
