We are seeking an experienced Service Engineering Specialist

The role of this specialist is to collaborate with technical experts in solving complex issues related to Service Now tasks. Their focus will be on main bearing-related problems, requiring the creation and maintenance of failed component information, updates for management about potential serial defects, and ensuring efficient operation of the Service Engineering Teams.

About This Role

This position requires dealing with unexpected situations and time-sensitive tasks as part of daily operations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively in a globally responsible team of technical experts within Global Service Engineering
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues between local business units and central units
  • Assignment of tasks along the technical support process
  • Collection of information about mechanical components of wind turbines
  • Identification and reporting of potential serial issues
  • Evaluation of risk potential, budgeting, and scheduling of necessary activities related to major non-conformities
  • Support local business units in developing sustainable solutions regarding mechanical problems relating to wind turbine drive trains
  • Creation of repair and inspection instructions for mechanical component assemblies
  • Definition, implementation, and obtaining of service processes for mechanical assemblies
  • Improvement of internal standards and processes, ensuring permanent knowledge transfer between relevant departments and locations
Key Qualifications:
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Mechanical drive trains and roller bearings (design and development, evaluation of fault conditions, and error analysis)
  • Proven experience in project coordination or similar roles
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills in Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with effective task prioritization
  • Good stakeholder management, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering
  • Excellent Communication skills
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Additional languages (German, Spanish, French) are good-to-have
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Good team player
  • Adaptable to change
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to deal with unexpected difficulties
  • Valid GWO (including work at height) is a plus
