Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Mechanical Systems Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement mechanical systems, including equipment selections and specifications for commercial, industrial, and domestic projects.
  • Create detailed technical construction drawings, calculations, and specifications for mechanical systems using computer-assisted engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD, REVIT).
  • Perform calculations and prepare technical specifications, sequence of operations, and details for projects according to customer requirements and existing conditions.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant Codes, including NYC Building Code, International Codes, Mechanical Code, Energy Code, NFPA Standards, and ASHRAE Standards.
  • Review design concepts, calculations, and drawings for accuracy, Code compliance, and customer requirements.
  • Review Engineering submittals, shop drawings, and construction administration procedures to ensure quick turnaround during the project's construction phase.
  • Develop training modules, calculation procedures, and company tools for Design & Execution. Train young engineers to conform to standards and improve performances.
  • Coordinate with clients, project managers, and vendors to ensure on-time delivery of projects as per schedule and requirements.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in HVAC design
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Experience working with building services
  • International project experience, preferably in the US
  • Team handling experience
