HVAC Systems Designer

Job Summary:

The role involves delivering HVAC design solutions that meet industry standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of MEP coordination, energy efficiency, and HVAC system optimization.

  • Develop HVAC systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, and air distribution systems.
  • Perform heat load calculations, cooling load calculations, and airflow analysis using software like HAP, Trace 700, or Carrier E-20.
  • Select and size HVAC equipment based on project requirements.
  • Design ductwork, piping layouts, and control systems using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Navisworks.
  • Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and local building codes.
  • Deliver energy efficiency analysis and optimize HVAC systems for cost and sustainability.
  • Coordinate with mechanical engineers, architects, and contractors for system integration.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentation for project approvals.
