Job Title: Mechanical Systems Designer


Synopsis: We are seeking an experienced MEP CAD Technician to support the design and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) services by preparing accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • E nsure drawings comply with project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company CAD/BIM protocols.
  • Support the development of coordinated services drawings, clash detection, and model updates.
  • Maintain drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
  • Assist project teams in producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and Revit MEP/BIM (preferred).
  • Experience in preparing MEP drawings and understanding of building services design.
  • Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes of practice.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
Bonus Points:
  • Experience with Navisworks, clash detection, or other BIM coordination tools.
