This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a team that oversees all legal matters related to the recovery and management of loan portfolios.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for coordinating with external partners to handle legal proceedings, manage recoveries, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop strategic plans for the recovery of secured and unsecured loans
- Maintain relationships with external law firms and vendors to ensure timely and effective action on legal cases
- Collaborate with the bank's legal and compliance departments to integrate policy changes issued by governing bodies
- Provide advice on recovery actions under applicable laws, including the SARFAESI Act, DRT, PSS Act, Lok Adalat, IBC, and other relevant laws
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) is mandatory
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the legal department of a bank or financial institution
- Strong understanding of collections law and recovery regulations
To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
