API and Microservices Expert Role

We seek an accomplished professional to spearhead the development of APIs and microservices.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining APIs and microservices in support of business needs. This includes partnering with customers and partners to understand their requirements, conducting technical deep dive sessions, and providing proof of concepts. The individual must advise on integration patterns with SAP ERP and S/4 systems as well as Salesforce.

Key responsibilities include running technical deep dive and architecture sessions, demonstrating proof of concepts, advising prospects and customers, integrating patterns with SAP ERP and S/4 systems, Salesforce, etc., and applying these integrations as APIs and microservices. Additionally, the chosen candidate will collaborate with other architects, vendors, partners, business, and technical teams to understand business needs and translate them into capability platform roadmaps.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as the individual must analyze, design, and coordinate the development of major components of the API management system and downstream APIs. They will also develop, test, and implement APIs for use in software applications, ensuring coding standard processes and test coverage through peer reviewing.

To succeed in this position, one must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across distributed teams. The ability to build and maintain relationships with key technology team members is essential. This includes supporting analyst briefings and serving as a primary technical evangelist for various microservice patterns involving microservices and APIs.

As a core member of the team, this expert will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, adhering to standards, guidelines, and code quality techniques, while continuously coaching and mentoring team members. A successful candidate should have experience in building and maintaining effective working relationships with key technology stakeholders.
