Job Overview:

The Programme Management Expert plays a pivotal role in driving organisational success through effective programme planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive strategies and annual plans for programme themes, identify opportunities for collaboration and innovation to enhance impact.
  • Programme Delivery: Oversee select programme areas to ensure timely, high-quality delivery in line with agreed goals, provide guidance to project teams to strengthen operational efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Partnership Development: Engage with implementing agencies, knowledge partners, and peer organisations to strengthen programme outcomes, represent the organisation in external forums as required.
  • Team Support & Development: Provide mentoring support to mid-level team members to help them grow into leadership roles, encourage a collaborative culture that values learning and accountability.
  • Monitoring & Learning: Ensure effective systems for tracking progress, capturing lessons, and adapting strategies, support preparation of reports, presentations, and knowledge products.
  • Financial & Compliance Oversight: Contribute inputs to budget planning and monitor utilisation in assigned programme areas, ensure adherence to internal processes and compliance frameworks.
Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in social sciences, development studies, public policy, or a related discipline, at least 12-15 years of relevant experience in programme design, management, or evaluation within the development sector, including experience in leadership roles.

Key Qualifications: Strong leadership and team management skills, ability to develop and manage multi-stakeholder partnerships, excellent communication and analytical abilities, demonstrated capacity to think strategically and translate plans into results, ability to work effectively in diverse cultural and social contexts.
