CNC Setter/Programmer

We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter / Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up and programming CNC machines to produce high-precision components. You will be responsible for programming CNC machines, setting them up for operations, and ensuring that parts are manufactured according to technical specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:CNC Programming:

• Write, modify, and optimize CNC programs based on blueprints, CAD drawings, and customer specifications using relevant software (e.g., G-code, FANUC, Siemens, or similar).
• Utilize CNC programming software (Mastercam, SolidCAM, or similar) to create efficient machining cycles for complex parts.
• Perform offline programming and support setup and operation of CNC machines on the shop floor.

CNC Machine Setup & Operation:

• Set up CNC machines (lathe, mill, vertical, horizontal, etc.), ensuring proper fixture setup, tooling, and alignment.
• Load, align, and secure the raw materials into the machine.
• Perform machine and tool calibration, checks, and adjustments to ensure precision.
• Operate CNC machines to produce parts with tight tolerances while monitoring performance and quality.

Quality Control:

• Ensure parts meet required specifications by performing regular quality checks (using gauges, micrometers, and other measuring instruments).
• Make adjustments to programs and machine settings as necessary to correct any discrepancies.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to maintain high levels of productivity and quality.

Collaboration and Documentation:

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize part designs for CNC machining.
• Maintain detailed records of machine setup, program changes, part inspections, and any issues or modifications.
• Provide feedback to the design and engineering teams regarding machine capabilities or potential design improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• Educational Qualification:
• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, CNC, or a related technical field.
• Additional certifications in CNC programming or manufacturing are a plus.
• Experience:
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a CNC Setter/Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machine setup, programming, and operation (preferably with CNC lathes or milling machines).
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in CNC programming (G-code, M-code, etc.).
• Experience with CNC machine controllers (e.g., FANUC, Siemens, Haas).
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tool types, and materials.
• Additional Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent knowledge of safety protocols and quality control standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
