Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Job Description

You will play a critical role in building and supporting the tools & technology required to enable an enterprise data governance program.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance and experience working with popular tools like Collibra, Informatica, and Alation.

  1. Act as a primary contributor for the tool implementation of data governance programs.
  2. Build and support solutions for data governance in popular tools to enable data cataloging, meta data management, and data lineage of enterprise applications and data sources.
  3. Enable enterprise-level integration of metadata stores for business users to search and understand information by developing standard business glossaries and data dictionaries.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected individual will be responsible for implementing and managing data governance solutions across the organization.

They will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address data-related issues and develop strategies to improve data quality and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data governance best practices and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience utilizing tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc., to implement data governance programs.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management space under any area.

Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions to data privacy requirements and challenges.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets, and approaches related to data protection.
