Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Specialist to lead the implementation of our data governance program. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions for data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage across our enterprise applications and data sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a data cataloging solution using popular tools like Collibra, Informatica, and Alation.
  • Develop and maintain metadata stores for business users to search and understand information through standard business glossaries and data dictionaries.
  • Implement access control management and establish clear data ownership using a data governance tool.
  • Build custom integrations between the data governance tool and various data stores to map and view data lineage.
  • Migrate existing data sources like SharePoint and Excel to a data governance tool.
  • Optimize and automate data governance workflows for data stewards using a workflow management system.
  • Track, investigate, and correct data quality issues in a data governance tool.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with data governance tools like Collibra, Informatica, and Alation.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management space.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions to data privacy requirements and challenges.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business, and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection.
  • Demonstrated consulting skills with change management concepts and strategies.
