Job Title: Enterprise Data Governance Specialist

 

Data governance is a critical component of an enterprise's data strategy. As a data governance lead, you will be responsible for building and supporting tools and technologies to enable an enterprise data governance program.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in data governance and a strong understanding of data management practices, business and technology issues related to the management of enterprise information assets, and approaches related to data protection.

  • You will act as a primary contributor for the tool implementation of data governance programs
  • Build and support solutions for data governance in popular tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc. to enable data cataloging, meta data management, and data lineage of the enterprise's applications and data sources.
  • Enable enterprise level integration of metadata stores for the business users to search and understand information by developing standard business glossaries and data dictionaries
  • Support in implementing a solution for data cataloging with a data governance tool to establish clear data ownership along with access control management
  • Build custom integrations between the data governance tool and various data stores to map and view data lineage
  • Support the enterprise in migrating from existing (and different) data sources like SharePoint, Excel, etc. to a data governance tool
  • Support in implementing a workflow management system to optimize, improve, and automate the data governance workflows for the data stewards to increase output, eliminate repetition, and reduce errors
  • Implement the means to track, investigate and correct data quality issues in a data governance tool and support in setting up data quality rules for data validation and standardization

 

About This Role

This role requires expertise in designing and implementing data governance frameworks that ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills and experience working with data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, and Alation.

In addition to technical skills, the candidate should have excellent communication and project management skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
