Leather Product Merchandising Role

About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled merchandiser to oversee the end-to-end process of getting leather products from design to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Execution: Manage orders from initial inquiries to final shipment, ensuring timely and cost-effective production while maintaining quality standards.
  • Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and procure high-quality materials, components, and accessories required for leather product manufacturing.
  • Production Coordination: Collaborate with production teams to ensure efficient and timely production, monitor progress, and highlight any issues that may impact delivery.
  • Communication and Negotiation: Maintain clear communication with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless coordination throughout the production process.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of orders, materials, production processes, and shipping details to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Product Development: Assist in product development, including material sourcing, costing, and sampling to ensure alignment with market trends and customer requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, optimize stock turnover, and minimize waste to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Sales Forecasting: Implement merchandise plans, including sales forecasting and budget planning to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in the same field.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify problems and develop solutions to overcome obstacles and achieve goals.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and relationship-building to ensure effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Organization and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant software and understanding of leather manufacturing processes to ensure efficient and effective production.
  • Knowledge of the Leather Industry: Familiarity with different types of leather, manufacturing processes, and industry best practices to ensure alignment with industry standards.
