Electrical BIM Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical BIM Specialist to create and manage 3D electrical models using Building Information Modelling (BIM) software.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, and cable routing. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors for BIM execution and coordination.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing electrical layouts, schematics, conduit/tray routing, panel schedules, and lighting and ELV systems. They will also generate shop drawings, as-built drawings, and installation drawings based on design models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and develop 3D electrical models using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
  • Design electrical layouts, schematics, conduit/tray routing, panel schedules, and lighting and ELV systems.
  • Prepare electrical circuit layouts, schematics, and construction drawings.
  • Ensure clash detection and resolution by coordinating with other MEP disciplines.
  • Generate shop drawings, as-built drawings, and installation drawings based on design models.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors for BIM execution and coordination.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in BIM electrical modelling for MEP projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360, Di-Roots, Dynamo.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, and cable routing.
  • Experience with clash detection, coordination, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Knowledge of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and Level of Development (LOD) requirements.
