Job Title: Lead Substation Electrical Designer

About the Role:

This role is responsible for designing and implementing primary and secondary electrical systems for substations, including transformers, switchgear, breakers, and other essential equipment. The Lead Substation Electrical Designer will utilize their expertise in power systems and protection schemes to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement primary and secondary electrical systems for substations, adhering to industry standards (IEEE, IEC, ANSI) and local regulations.
  • Coordinate system integration across substation infrastructure to ensure seamless operation and mitigate potential risks.
  • Develop, review, and revise technical drawings such as single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and protection schemes to meet project requirements.
  • Conduct thorough design reviews, risk assessments, and safety checks to guarantee the reliability and robustness of designs.
  • Provide expert technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting phases of substation projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 6-16 years of experience in designing primary/secondary electrical systems for substation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of substation design, power systems, and protection schemes for HV/MV substation projects.
