Okta Expertise Wanted

This role involves applying expertise in Okta Identity Cloud to design, configure and implement solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of Okta Identity Cloud, including experience in architecture, implementation, integration and support of Okta-based solutions in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for Okta solutions across projects.
  • Design, configure and implement Okta Identity Cloud features including SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, Universal Directory and API access management.
  • Integrate Okta with various applications using SAML, OIDC, SCIM and other protocols.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, engineering teams and security leads to define access control strategies and identity workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to authentication, authorization and provisioning.
  • Conduct health checks, upgrades, patching and performance tuning of Okta environments.
  • Develop documentation including architecture diagrams, configuration guides and runbooks.
  • Stay current with industry trends and Okta product developments to continuously improve solutions.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of overall experience in IAM with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience with Okta Identity Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of SSO, MFA, OAuth2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM and API security.
  • Experience with Okta Workflows, custom scripting and identity automation.
  • Familiarity with integrating Okta with cloud services such as AWS, Azure and Google Workspace.
  • Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Okta certifications are a strong advantage.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with adjacent IAM tools like SailPoint, Saviynt or CyberArk.
  • Scripting skills for automation and customization.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native IAM practices.
