About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scrum Leader to join our team at BNY Mellon. As a Scrum Leader, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining Scrum practices, facilitating understanding of Scrum theory and practice, and serving the Scrum Team and the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain Scrum practices and facilitate understanding of Scrum theory and practice within the Scrum Team and the organization.
  • Remove impediments to the Scrum Team's progress and ensure that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
  • Help Teams focus on creating high-value Increments that meet the Definition of Done.
  • Serve the Product Owner by facilitating stakeholder collaboration and providing techniques for effective product goal definition and backlog management.
  • Serve the Organization by helping employees and stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach for complex work.
Requirements
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Previous technical experience is preferred.
  • Experience in Scrum Master role for software development team for large initiatives.
  • Knowledge of various Agile approaches: Scrum, SAFe, XP, Kanban, Spotify, etc.
  • Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of tools such as: Jira, Confluence etc.
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly, demonstrated by experience in an engineering environment.
  • Ability to take ambiguous topics and translate into actionable plans working with multiple business, operational and technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
  • Preferred to have Agile certifications including CSM, PSM, SAFe SSM.
