Technical Leadership Role

The successful candidate will lead the team from a technical perspective, providing IT support for application environments and interfaces on-premises and in the cloud. This includes diagnosing issues, resolving problems, and implementing workarounds to ensure 24x7 availability.

Key responsibilities include managing project timelines, ensuring service requests are actioned according to service levels, and driving an automation-first culture through CI/CD pipelines.

Strong leadership skills are essential, with a focus on coaching and developing teams to deliver high-quality services.

A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is required, along with 10+ years of IT experience in relevant technologies or engineering teams.

Cloud fundamentals or advanced cloud/data qualifications are advantageous, as well as prior experience in leading teams of platform engineers and supporting complex 24x7 application environments.

This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a willingness to accept responsibility and be accountable for the services provided.

  • Strategic Focus: Manage operational support and continuous improvement of infrastructure estate and processes.
  • Operational Management: Ensure Production is managed, supported, and controlled with governance and agility.
  • People Leadership: Provide skilled resources to Project/Change Leads and manage a team of Test Environment Engineers & Middleware specialists.

Key accountabilities may change based on business needs, but this role offers a unique opportunity to drive technical innovation and excellence in a dynamic environment.

Required skills include experience with IT service management within ITSM/ITIL framework, sound knowledge of MS Office products, and high-level problem-solving skills to handle complex software and interface support issues.
