Network Operations Centre (NOC) Specialist

As a critical member of our 24/7 operations centre, you will play a vital role in ensuring the high availability and performance of our applications.

  • Manage the NOC on a 24/7 basis, ensuring continuous coverage and monitoring of application performance using tools such as AppDynamics, Thousand Eyes, Nagios, Datadog, OpManager, and AWS cloud watch monitoring tools.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Host and lead Major Incident Management (MIM) calls, maintaining comprehensive documentation of incidents, response actions, and outcomes for Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Lead the response to critical incidents, utilizing monitoring tools for rapid identification and resolution, and provide timely updates and status reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Perform routine system health checks and maintenance tasks, including during off-hours and weekends, and proactively identify and troubleshoot issues related to application performance, network connectivity, and server infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a 24/7 NOC or IT operations role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong understanding of ITIL principles, Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Experience using AppDynamics and Thousand Eyes or similar tools for application performance monitoring, log analysis, and network and firewall monitoring.
  • Knowledge of network protocols and server infrastructure, with the ability to monitor, manage, install, and maintain infrastructure and application certificates.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively during off-hours and weekends.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including during off-hours and weekends.
