PostgreSQL Database Expertise Required

We are seeking a skilled and experienced PostgreSQL database expert to fill this key position. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database administration, performance optimization, and query tuning for large-scale databases.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Administer, maintain, and optimize large PostgreSQL databases.
  • Perform advanced query optimization, database tuning, and indexing strategies for high-performance applications.
  • Implement and monitor robust database backup, recovery, and failover strategies.
  • Manage database security, roles, and access privileges with precision.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Utilize time-series database management tools for proactive performance monitoring.
  • Evaluate database scalability, reliability, and availability in production environments.
  • Support seamless upgrades, patching, and migration activities.
  • Mandatory Qualifications:
  • At least 8 years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA.
  • Strong track record of performance optimization and query tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/openSUSE environment.
  • Proven expertise with timesqldb and related toolkit utilities.
  • Able to handle massive databases (1000-2000 GB) with ease.
  • Nice to Have:
  • In-depth knowledge of replication, partitioning, and clustering techniques.
  • Experience in automation and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools for optimal database performance.
