Job Title: Payroll and Compliance Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Compliance Specialist to join our team in the APAC region. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage payroll operations for APAC countries, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Work closely with location/unit payroll coordinators, HRMs/HRBPs, payroll vendor, treasury, and accounting to ensure smooth payroll processing.
- Implement and maintain payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Represent the payroll team in audits, providing required data and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
- Run periodic payroll helpdesks, resolving employee grievances and ensuring employee delight.
- Prepare monthly variance reports and analysis, verifying and certifying final output files before salary disbursement.
- Publish payroll calendars and prepare schedules related to payroll, ensuring necessary provision entries in the books of accounts.
- Ensure quarterly and annual statutory submissions are on-track without deviations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree mandatory.
- Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate with people, and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong background in payroll process, taxation, and compliance.
- Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in managing payroll for a large organization.
- Exposure to MNC and shared services environment, including foreign nationals, is an added advantage.
