Data Science Lead - Spearhead Business Intelligence Unit (BIU) in Mumbai/Bangalore

We are seeking a dynamic Data Science Lead to drive growth and profitability objectives. In this role, you will focus on Portfolio and Business Analytics using expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and strategic thinking to support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Operational Research, CA, or Engineering from a reputed institution.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in analytics, preferably in financial services or retail business.
  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring data scientists with strong proficiency in Python, model development, validation, machine learning, NLP, and marketing analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics tools like R, SQL, Power BI, and MS Excel, along with deep knowledge of predictive analytics techniques and exploratory data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis & Modelling: Ensure the accuracy, validity, and robustness of analytical solutions while staying updated on the latest advancements in data science and machine learning.
  • Business Impact: Translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations and partner with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization and collaborate with senior management to shape the data science roadmap.

Job Conditions:

  • This role requires at least 2-3 years of experience in analytics, preferably in financial services or retail.
  • Strong expertise in Python, model development, validation, machine learning, NLP, Gen AI, and marketing analytics is essential.
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills are crucial for success in this role.
