Guest Service Coordinator

Job Description:
The Guest Service Associate plays a vital role in ensuring that guests have a memorable and enjoyable stay at AccorHotel. As a key member of the front office team, this position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring seamless coordination and cooperation with all departments, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
People Management:
- The Guest Service Associate is responsible for responding to customer queries in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving issues promptly.
- Ensuring that guest complaints, requests, or inquiries regarding food and services are attended to promptly and professionally.
- Establishing and maintaining seamless coordination and cooperation with all departments to ensure maximum productivity, morale, and guest service.
Financial Management:
- The Guest Service Associate is responsible for identifying optimal cost-effective use of resources and educating the team on the same.
Operational Management:
- Responsible for setting up all operating equipment and ensuring that linen and condiments are inspected before service.
- Ensuring familiarity with all dishes on the menu.
- Clearing all soiled chinaware, glassware, and silverware from the guest table and resetting the table for the next arrival.
- In the absence of the Assistant Manager, Guest Service, ensuring to take guest orders, advise guests on special menu options, maintain control of guest and hotel accounts, and ensuring that all charges are accurate and posted in a timely manner.
- Using every opportunity to promote hotel facilities and maximize sales through sound product knowledge and selling skills.
- Ensuring that all guest queries, inquiries, and requests are attended to in a helpful, professional, yet warm and friendly manner.
- Handling luggage in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Controlling room inventory and assigning rooms per guest needs.
- Ensuring familiarity with property layout, fire exits, and elevator locations.
- Reporting any equipment malfunction, emergency situations, or suspicious persons to the Guest Service Manager.
- Ensuring that breakage, pilferage, and spoilage are kept to a bare minimum.
Occupational Health & Safety:
All employees are responsible for complying with relevant OHS&E legislation and policies.
This includes, in particular:
- Taking care of themselves and others.
- Cooperating with AccorHotel instructions, including Safe Work Method Statements, Safety, and other procedures and training.
- Not interfering with or misusing safety equipment.
- Reporting all hazardous situations.
- Following all reasonable instructions from a manager.
Replacement and Temporary Mission:
Be ready and responsible for any job which may be assigned by the Management.
