Senior Well Planning Specialist

The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the well planning process, ensuring technical integrity and regulatory compliance.
This involves designing, planning, and executing CBM wells, integrating subsurface understanding with drilling and completion technologies tailored for CBM fields.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in petroleum engineering, experience in CBM operations, and proficiency in well design software.
Key responsibilities include leading well planning activities, preparing well designs, developing detailed basis of design, and designing fit-for-purpose completions.
- Lead well planning activities for CBM wells, including location selection support.
- Prepare well designs aligned with reservoir and geo-mechanical models.
- Develop detailed basis of design, risk registers, and contingency plans.
- Design fit-for-purpose completions for CBM production.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
- Over 10 years of upstream oil & gas experience, with 3+ years specifically in CBM operations.
- Proven experience in well design and engineering for low-pressure, unconventional gas wells.
