Job Title:

Agricultural Engineer

Description:

This role is for an experienced agricultural engineer who will be responsible for conducting site surveys, designing soil and water conservation measures, and implementing watershed development projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of engineering technology and agriculture science.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys to identify potential sites for watershed development projects.
  • Design and cost estimation of soil and water conservation measures.
  • Implement watershed and climate-proofing projects in collaboration with local communities and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to local communities and project partners on soil conservation, water management, and crop cultivation.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of the project and make necessary adjustments to ensure objectives are met.
  • Collect and analyze data related to the project, including soil and water quality, vegetation cover, and crop yields.
  • Maintain project MIS to track progress and review by management and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • A full-time B.Tech/M.Tech degree in Agriculture/Civil Engineering from a reputable institute.
  • 3-8 years of relevant experience.
