Ancillary Network Monitoring Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Ancillary Network Monitor.

The Role:

  • Continuously monitor network performance and system alerts using various monitoring tools to ensure all systems and networks operate at peak performance levels.
  • Analyze network traffic patterns and identify potential issues to prevent service disruptions.
  • Respond promptly to network incidents and alerts, working to diagnose and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps in detail for future reference.
  • Support the configuration and management of network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to maintain optimal network performance.
  • Work closely with other IT teams to coordinate responses to complex network issues and ensure seamless communication throughout the process.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Proficiency in using network monitoring tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds, Zabbix, or similar to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and troubleshooting methodologies to ensure efficient resolution of network issues.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in Windows and Linux environments, with proficiency in Python /Bash/PowerShell scripting languages.
