Data Governance is crucial for any organization to ensure data quality, integrity and compliance. As a Data Governance Lead you will be responsible for building and supporting tools and technologies required to enable an enterprise data governance program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary contributor for the tool implementation of data governance programs using popular tools like Collibra, Informatica and Alation etc.
  • Develop solutions for data governance in these tools to enable data cataloging, metadata management and data lineage of the enterprise's applications and data sources.
  • Enable enterprise-level integration of metadata stores for business users to search and understand information by developing standard business glossaries and data dictionaries.
  • Support implementing a solution for data cataloging with a data governance tool to establish clear data ownership along with access control management.
  • Create custom integrations between the data governance tool and various data stores to map and view data lineage.
  • Support the enterprise in migrating from existing data sources like SharePoint and Excel etc. to a data governance tool.
  • Implement a workflow management system to optimize improve and automate data governance workflows for data stewards to increase output eliminate repetition and reduce errors.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Degree in Information Technology Computer Science or other related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience utilizing tools like Collibra Informatica and Alation etc. to implement data governance programs.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management space under any area.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to collect organize analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions to data privacy requirements and challenges.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection.
  • Demonstrated consulting skills with change management concepts and strategies.
  • Certifications on these tools are a plus.
