Supply Chain Manager Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective supply chain strategies, managing purchase orders, maintaining accurate inventory tracking, and ensuring smooth material dispatches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic supply chain initiatives to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Manage purchase orders from vendor selection to delivery, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Identify, evaluate, and register vendors based on their commercial and contractual terms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure consistent supply quality and service.
  • Oversee the timely dispatch of materials in line with customer requirements and project deadlines.
  • Maintain and review stock reports regularly to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
  • Implement best practices for warehouse and material management to optimize supply chain operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (mandatory).
  • At least 20 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in manufacturing, EPC, or engineering industries.
  • Strong expertise in procurement, negotiation, vendor registration, logistics, inventory, and invoicing.
  • Excellent understanding of e-way bills, challans, MIS reporting, and stock management.
  • Proficiency in ERP/SCM software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
