Job Title: Demand Planner Associate
About This RoleWe are seeking a skilled Demand Planner to join our team. As a Demand Planner, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing demand plans that meet the needs of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop rolling 6 months OTB (Sales) plan to balance demand, supply, and profitability plans across multiple brands.
- Work closely with individual brand planning teams and finalize target inventory levels.
- Track weekly/monthly sales and adjust forecast plans accordingly in discussion with sales teams and the Planning Head.
- Use forecasting tools to refine forecasts for better effectiveness.
- Track, analyze, and publish key supply chain metrics such as forecast accuracy, inwards performance, PO adherence, brokenness, and Days On Hand.
- Support the Head of Planning in designing and implementing new planning tools and dashboards to improve inventory visibility and decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline planning processes and improve material availability.
- Coordinate with brands for key seasonal products planning (Winter Wear).
Inventory Management:
- Track weekly/monthly inventory flows and identify opportunities to balance plans vs actuals.
- Monitor Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure alignment with OTB inventory plans.
- Analyze and act on the financial impact of current/future inventory in coordination with the Planning Head.
- Implement strategies to reduce stockouts in coordination with the Head of Planning.
- Establish and manage target stock levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts across retail channels.
Master Data Management:
- Periodically review SKU master data and correct anomalies with the Tech Team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Exceptionally comfortable with numbers and large data sets.
- Growth mindset – willing to learn/adopt new processes and technology.
- Analytical mindset and ability to translate data/numbers into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Good interpersonal skills – ability to maintain good relationships with stakeholders.
- Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision for assigned tasks.
- Highly proficient in MS Excel.
- Familiarity with any planning tool or ERP systems is a plus.
Stakeholders:
- Internal: Head of Planning, Tech Team, Growth Heads, MIS Team, Supply Chain.
- External: Local Brand Planners.
Qualification & Experience:
- Minimum B.E./B.Tech (Any stream). MBA in Operations/Supply Chain is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in FMCG/Mfg/Retail planning domain.
