Inviting applications for the role of Assistant manager, Retail Demand Planner (Bangalore)
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Retail Demand Planner to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate forecasts for our retail products, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and maximizing sales opportunities. You will work closely with various departments, including sales, marketing, and operations, to gather data, analyse trends, and develop actionable insights.

Responsibilities:
Demand Planning
. Analyse historical sales data, market trends, promotional plans, and competitor activity to forecast future demand for products across all stores.
. Develop and maintain statistical forecasting models using specialized software (Blue Yonder & SAS), other analytical tools or excel.
. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and merchandising teams to understand upcoming promotions, new product launches, and other demand drivers.
. Regularly monitor and analyse forecast accuracy, identifying and investigating any discrepancies.
. Recommend adjustments to forecasts based on new information and market trends.
. Identify and analyse potential risks and opportunities related to demand fluctuations.
. Monitor and suggest the seasonal /promo builds during the cycle
. Communicate demand forecasts and insights clearly and concisely to stakeholders across the organization.
. Support the development and implementation of inventory management strategies.
. Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in demand forecasting.
Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications
. Bachelor&rsquos/master&rsquos degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a related field.
. Relevant & proven experience in Retail demand planning or a similar role.
. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
. Proficiency in various Planning & forecasting tools. (&ldquoBlue yonder will be an added advantage)
. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools (e.g., MS. Power Platform, Python).
. Ability to lead a team and work independently.
. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
