Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Assistant to join our team at Tekno Valves. As a key member of our procurement department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in using Spreadsheets (e.g., MS Excel) for day-to-day activities and reporting, and have a good understanding of commercial terms and conditions related to procurement.

  • Familiarity with import/export documentation and formalities is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of procurement applications/software (e.g., SAP/ERP) would also be beneficial.
Responsibilities:

As a Purchasing Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Verifying purchase/service requisitions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identifying reliable supply sources and negotiating prices.
  • Collecting quotes, preparing comparative analysis statements, and creating Purchase Orders.
  • Tracking delivery status, updating records, and communicating with suppliers as needed.
