As a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving business strategies that align with the organization's mission, vision, values, and objectives. This key position is responsible for developing and implementing engineering department strategies that support achievement of hotel goals.

  • Develop and implement hotel engineering department strategies to achieve hotel goals.
  • Monitor status regularly and adjust strategies as appropriate.
  • Develop the annual budget in conjunction with the Executive Committee.
  • Participate in the development of annual marketing, sales, and yield management plans and strategies.
  • Continuously improve hotel engineering department and adhere to hotel brand standards.
  • Maximize profitability and revenue by directing the Engineering department.
  • Manage the Engineering department and third-party vendors to ensure superior service and quality.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs.
  • Review contracts and negotiate revisions with vendors, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Interpret plans and contract terms with the Engineering team, management, clients, and vendors.
  • Monitor compliance with building safety codes, health and safety laws, and other regulations.
  • Maintain Responsible Business programs and training for the hotel.
  • Manage hotel renovations, coordinate project status with regional technical services offices, architects, licensing agencies, contractors, and hotel management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
