Industrial Engineering Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Industrial Engineer to lead our apparel manufacturing unit's efficiency, productivity, and process improvements. This role focuses on driving business outcomes through data-driven insights and strategic implementation of lean practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Develop and implement line layouts and operator allocations to maximize efficiency, resulting in consistent achievement of production targets with optimum resource utilization.
  • Process Optimization: Conduct time and motion studies to identify productivity gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Cost & Resource Efficiency: Analyze production costs, labor utilization, and overheads to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Quality & Compliance: Collaborate with the Quality team to integrate quality checkpoints within industrial engineering systems.
  • Data Analytics & Reporting: Maintain real-time dashboards for efficiency, productivity, and cost indicators, providing actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Talent Development: Lead and mentor the Industrial Engineering team, supervisors, and work-study officers to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Education: B.Tech / B.E. (Industrial Engineering / Textile / Garment Technology) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 12-15 years in apparel manufacturing with strong focus on IE, productivity improvement, and lean implementation.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, sewing operations, SMV calculations, work-study methods, and lean manufacturing systems.
