To collaborate effectively with the team, which liaises with private equity firms worldwide in fund accounting, the role requires:

  • Preparing daily cash reports involves collecting data from administrators, banking providers, and internal forecasts and using our data visualization tool to refresh and review the report.
  • Reconciling movements in capacity, loan balances, and forecast capacity to prior day reporting is crucial. Adjusting manual forecast data for new deals and uncertain cash flows based on the latest information is also essential.
  • Reviewing cash management proposals from administrators for internal cash movements within fund structures and instructing them to make any additional cash movements as required is a key responsibility.
  • Reviewing short-term forecasts for each fund and vehicle to formulate proposals for near-term cash management, including loan drawdowns/repayments, money market fund subscriptions/redemptions, and FX trades, is critical.
  • Liaising with fund owners within the treasury team to review and agree proposals is essential.
  • Preparing loan instructions and FX instructions to send to administrators and other 3rd party service providers is a key task.
  • Closing collaboration with the treasury team, including daily meetings on cash management topics to discuss what's happened, what to consider for the next few days, and medium-term investor cash flow planning, is necessary.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Post-graduate qualifications such as CFA, CA, MBA, CCRA, CIIA, or CAIA are desired.
  • A minimum of 9 years of experience in fund accounting is preferred.
  • Managing and/or leading employees for 2-3 years is necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Understanding of PCAP and quarterly preparing PCAP is critical.
  • The ability to work hands-on, delving into projects with a strong attention to detail and emphasis on producing a high-quality work product is vital.
  • Experience working independently, proactively identifying or initiating ways to enhance a process, procedure, or outcome that benefits the organization is desirable.
  • Ability to prioritize a large and varied workload, managing multiple tasks and details simultaneously is essential.
  • Ability to show initiative, willingness to learn, and take on responsibilities as a contributing team member either in a lead or in a backup role to ensure team success is critical.
  • Solutions-focused individuals who can work in unstructured environments under minimum or no supervision are ideal.
  • Willingness to acknowledge what is not understood and seek assistance is essential.
  • Knowledge of MS Office with strong skills in MS Word and MS Excel is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
