Accounting Role for Private Equity and Fund Administration

We seek an experienced accountant to manage fund-level accounting for private equity, private credit, or fund administration clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Close Process: Run monthly close and oversee full-cycle accounting in QuickBooks or similar.
  • Financial Reporting: Record and track interest, fee, and equity income across structured deals.
  • Management Reports: Prepare management reports and investor-ready financial statements.
  • Tax Prep and Filings: Support CPAs on tax prep, filings, and fund administration.
  • Portfolio Company Oversight: Review financials from 1–5 portfolio companies and flag variances.
  • GAAP Compliance: Ensure GAAP-compliant reporting across multiple industries.
  • Reporting Templates: Standardize reporting templates and assist CFOs/finance leads.

Requirements:

  • Fund Accounting Experience: Minimum 5 years of direct fund accounting experience (private equity, private debt, or fund admin required).
  • GAAP Knowledge: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and multi-entity consolidations.
  • Industry Expertise: Background working with companies in the $10M–$100M revenue range.
  • Reporting Skills: Ability to manage both fund-level and portfolio-level reporting.
  • CPA Certification: CPA preferred.
  • Accounting Platforms: Proficiency with QuickBooks or other accounting platforms.
