Senior Engineering Role

This role requires a senior engineer to work on production projects and collaborate with our team in Hong Kong. The candidate will also mentor and coach junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare feasibility study reports to meet client requirements, working closely with the Local CRC Head of Structures.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop design specifications compliant with client needs.
  • Define building requirements and purposes of use with the Local CRC Head of Structures and the team to facilitate detailed design.
  • Carry out detailed design according to client requirements, standard codes, and technical reviews, including complex calculations and coordination issues.
  • Review and monitor calculation production, ensuring quality assurance and technical review.
  • Ensure project costing preparation is completed accurately and on time, and keep the team informed about design progress.
  • Coordinate project contracts documents, reviewing input from team members.
  • Lead the design process, promoting effective solutions within agreed timelines.
  • Fully adhere to document control and QA processes, ensuring proper issuance and filing of drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence, and coaching junior staff.
  • Manage a team of engineers and Revit technicians.
Required Skills:
  • Proven experience in building structure design, preferably in a similar role or with a good track record.
  • Strong presentation skills are essential.
  • Mastery of technical structural software such as RAM, CSC, ETABS, SAFE, and STAAD.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Excellent English language skills, including technical terminology.
  • Good management, communication, and technical skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with membership to an accredited engineering body.
  • Possession of British Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is desirable.
  • A minimum of 12 years' experience.
