Import Trade Specialist

We are seeking an accomplished Import Trade Specialist to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing the import process from start to finish, ensuring seamless execution and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trade Compliance: Ensure all imports comply with regulatory requirements, including customs clearance, duty payments, and documentation management.
  • Freight Management: Negotiate and manage air or sea freight with forwarders, shipping lines, or customs brokers to secure optimal rates and schedules.
  • Cargo Coordination: Coordinate with factories, freight forwarders, and transporters to ensure timely delivery of cargo.
  • Documentation: Prepare and manage all necessary documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operation.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with imports, such as customs delays, damage, or loss.

Requirements:

  • Professional Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, or similar productivity software.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
